Paint Correction

Vehicle rejuvenation is the art of restoring your car's true brilliance. Before any protection is applied, your paintwork should be perfected to its highest standard. We offer a curated selection of premium services — from meticulous paint correction and precision wet sanding to seamless paintless dent removal — each designed to revive, refine and elevate your vehicle's finish to showroom excellence.

Stage 1 — Paint Enhancement

Even brand-new vehicles arrive from the factory with paint defects. Our Stage 1 enhancement is typically enough to bring paint with little to no swirl marks up to our standard, depending on paint hardness and defect severity.

Stage 2 — Paint Correction

If your vehicle has lived through automatic car washes and winter snow brushes and carries a moderate amount of swirls and scratches, a two-stage correction is typically what's required to return the paint to defect-free perfection.

Stage 3 — Heavy Correction

For paint that has lost its depth of colour and gloss and is moderately to heavily swirled, three stages of correction cut through the defects to bring back its former shine and glory.

Real Example: 2023 BMW X6M Competition

Drag the slider — the same panel under our inspection lighting, corrected versus untouched. BMW paint runs hard, and this finish took three aggressive stages of correction to reach a deep, mirror-like gloss that looks better than factory new.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about paint correction? We've answered the most common questions about swirl removal, polishing stages, pricing and what to expect during the process.

What is paint correction?
Paint correction is the professional process of removing imperfections from a vehicle's paintwork through machine polishing and specialized refinement techniques. It eliminates swirl marks, light scratches, oxidation, water spots and haze by carefully levelling the clear coat to restore depth, clarity and gloss. Our paint correction services in Waterloo are tailored to safely maximize the finish of each vehicle.
How much does paint correction cost?
Pricing depends on vehicle size, paint condition, the level of defect removal required and the number of polishing stages performed. Heavily swirled or neglected paint may require more extensive correction. Professionally done paint correction typically costs anywhere from $700–$2,000 and upwards.
How long does paint correction last?
The results can last for years depending on how the vehicle is maintained afterward. Safe washing methods, ceramic coating protection and routine maintenance detailing help preserve the corrected finish and minimize future swirl marks. We also offer ceramic coating and PPF to help maintain the results long-term.
Does paint correction add protection to the paint?
Paint correction itself does not provide long-term protection — its purpose is to refine and restore the surface. After correction, we recommend ceramic coating or Paint Protection Film (PPF) to protect the newly corrected finish from UV damage, contaminants and future wear.
What's the process for paint correction?
We begin with a thorough exterior wash and full decontamination. The vehicle then moves into our dedicated light tunnel, where sensitive trim is protected before polishing begins. Depending on condition, we perform a single-stage polish or multi-stage correction to restore maximum gloss and clarity, finishing with a full panel wipe-down and your selected ceramic sealant or coating.
