Two buckets (wash and rinse, both with grit guards), a pH-neutral shampoo, a clean microfibre mitt, straight-line motions, top of the car to bottom. Dry with a plush towel or blower — never a chamois dragged across dusty paint. Our full method is in the wash guide below.
Snow brushes belong on glass only — bristles across paint will undo a correction in one storm. Use a foam brush for snow on glass, rinse salt film off regularly at a touchless wash, and resist wiping a salty car with anything dry.
Bare corrected paint starts collecting micro-marring from day one. A ceramic coating makes safe washing dramatically easier (dirt releases before it can scratch) and PPF physically prevents new rock chips. Most clients protect within days of correction — while the surface is still perfect.
With safe habits, a corrected finish shouldn't need re-polishing for years — and clear coat is finite, so unnecessary polishing ages paint. If gloss dulls, book an inspection first: often a decon wash and coating top-up restores it without removing another micron.
