Your coating continues hardening after you drive away. Keep the vehicle dry for the first 24–48 hours — no rain exposure if avoidable, no washing — and avoid washing entirely for the first 7 days. During the first few weeks, remove bird droppings and bug splatter promptly with a gentle quick detailer; fresh coatings are more susceptible to etching until fully cured.
Wash every two to four weeks with a pH-neutral shampoo and the two-bucket method, working top to bottom with a quality wash mitt. The coating's slickness does most of the work — you'll notice dirt releases with far less effort. Dry with a plush microfibre towel or a blower; letting the car air-dry with mineral-rich water causes water spots on any surface, coated or not.
A ceramic coating resists chemicals, UV and light marring — it does not stop rock chips or scratches from improper washing. Keep snow brushes off the paint (use a foam brush on glass only) and stay out of brush-style automatic washes; they will eventually mar even a coated finish.
Once a year, book a maintenance decontamination wash and coating inspection. We'll deep-clean the surface, remove bonded contaminants, verify the coating's hydrophobic performance and apply a booster topper if needed — keeping multi-year coatings performing like new.
